Missed my wake-up alarm, late for work, no shower, then I smacked my face and cut my nose. So lets just say the morning/afternoon was not going so well.
But then......around 6pm I was asked to play the Buffalo Club (good room!).
Just me and my acoustic rocking the rock bar. I had a great time, and met some really cool people. Thanks again to every one that came out.

My new record is almost ready. I haven’t decided on the title but I should have a few rough tracks to listen to in the next few days. I’ve decided not to let anyone hear the full album until it’s pressed and ready. So if all goes right it should be ready for mid-March. Well, I’ve left Ryan to mix by himself for bit now, I should go and check up on him.

I'll be recording a new album with the amazing Ryan Stewart for the next two weeks. It's going to be a whole lot of fun. I'm sure there will be a few rough tracks to hear sooner rather than later.

Last night at the Buffalo Club was so much fun. Maybe it was because people were buying me drinks all night, or because I got to see people I haven't seen in years. Either way I want to say thanks to everyone who came out. Pics from the night will be up, later today. Better get back to work.

And as I'm going into the studio in January, I may bust out some new songs just to test them out.

I have a fine cup of joe, and I'm feeling much better than I did yesterday. No hangover!
My show at the Standard in New West has been cancelled. Booo, but there will always be more. I don't have anything earth shaking to say, except X-mas is coming. Ahhh! So get your shopping done before it's too late, but not today.

What's new? I'm trying a new thing. Some of you may laugh, but I've been in a bit of a song writing slump. So in the mean time I've decided to learn some cover songs. So far I've touched up on a few MJ songs, a Billie Joel tune, and an Avril tune. Go ahead laugh but they're fun to play. I'm also working on a few songs by the Killers, Stereophonics, the White Stripes and tonight I learned a track by Cake. Now it's bed time, sweet dreams all.

I got home from work yesterday, and had made plans to watch the hockey game with a friend. Just as i’m about to leave i thought, i’d better check my phone messages. Lo and behold there was a message from my friend Christine, asking what time my set at the Piccadilly was tonight. Now I’m normally pretty good with schedules and such. Inside my head I think she's got the wrong date. I then realise FUCK she‘s right. I have a quick freak-out, quickly pack my gig bag and run out the door. I have never forgotten about a show before, and thanks to Ali I hopefully won’t. She hooked me up with a sweet college day planner. Now my world's at peace. HAHAHA that’s funny. Anyway’s I got to watch the game, we won and I got to try out some new material out on a nice little crowd. Pic’s from that night, and other stuff are now up.

I’ve been without for a few weeks now, but saved my hard earned money and bought a Mac. Less problems. Or so they say! I quickly realised i need a bigger monitor to run my recording program, but not that's not the end of the world.
Next day start her up again, no sound. I bought the thing so I could record.
So now i wait....will the E-mails be responded to?
I’m reading the new Harry Potter. Pretty Good Pretty Good.
I tried out a few new songs at an open mic last night, and they went well. That leaves me to wonder, WHAT TO DO?
Full Album, Find a band, continue to fly solo, move to New Mexico and change my name to Jim. Well maybe not the last thing, but i'm looking for a plan. If you’ve got any ideas let me know.

I've now played my first outdoor event. The barbeque pit was at my back, I worked on a one- sided farmers tan, and finished it off with a heat induced two-beer buzz. All and all I had a blast. The Gambier Summer Fair has sort of become a family tradition, last summer my Aunt and Uncle played and this year it was my turn. I want to thank Theresa, Andy, and all the folks who came out, especially the kids. Nothing like trying to please the 60plus crowd, and take requests for SUM 41 all at the same time. There’s only so much a man and his Acoustic can do. Big thanks to the CANDY GIRLS, without you two I never would have found the bubble gum ice cream that helped to peak the day.

Things have been going well lately. I just treated myself to a new guitar, and on it's first public showing I won 50$ for best performer at the Raven open mic. Thanks to Deep Cove Music, the Raven Pub, and all the folks who are out on Sundays supporting us.
I'm playing the Gambier Summer Fair on Saturday July 30th and other than that just writing and saving for another album.

I've decided to call it SIMPLE because that's what it is. I wanted a disk that sounded like I do when I'm playing live, and that's just me and my guitar. On the music page I've put up 4 of the 10 tracks off SIMPLE. Give them a listen and tell me what you think

There are some new pic’s from a gig I had at the Purple Crab on the 16th. I was quite shocked when I had a surprise thrown at me after one song. See the pic’s and you’ll understand.
What else, I had a short set on Friday at the Nelson with my friend Elese. Her and I are playing on the 2nd of July at Sailor Hagars Pub, It’s so hard sharing a bill with charming, talented, beautiful women. But if I must then I must.
My acoustic EP is being mixed as we speak. Hopefully I’ll be able to listen to it in the next few days (fingers crossed) and choose the final songs.

One more day of recording and the acoustic record will be ready to mix. I’m getting excited as things are coming around. I’ve just booked a show at the Purple Crab June 16th, with a few friends of mine. Caleb Stull (of The Parlour Steps) and Cody Westman. Doors at 9pm by Donation.

I'm going in today to record the guitars for my Acoustic EP/Album.
I think it will be titled Simple, because it will be just me and a guitar.
Last Saturday I played at Sailor Hagars Pub. I had a lot of fun, thank to every one who came out to listen. North Vancouver has quickly become my second home. I must say the folks there are some of the most encouraging people I've ever met, and good looking to boot.
To the Sunday crowd at the Raven, KILLER will be on this record, and a full band version on the next so worry not.
